AdvanceMap
-- This tool is the best Map Editing tool, I find. It is very easy to use and comprehend.
Pros: Great design, lets you edit a number of things besides maps.
Cons: Cannot direct you to any other thing like scripts.

Attack Editor
-- The Attack Editor is a tool that lets you Edit the Power, Type, Power Points (PP), Accuracy, Effect and Target of a move.
Pros: You can make some pretty outrageous stuff

Battle Editor
-- With this tool, you can edit the Pokemon Battles you have with trainers.
Pros: Very useful if you're trying to avoid the complications of scripting.
Cons: It only works for Ruby and Sapphire and is in Deutsch.

Pros: Very useful when giving the "All 386 Pokemon Available" attribute to your hack.
Cons: Hard to understand at first.

Pros: Great when implementing Fakemon, or Pokemon from a later generation into a ROM.
Cons: Bad grammar can make the hack look bad.

EliteMap
-- With this tool, you can edit the maps a player plays on. You can also access a sprite's script, but to do so you need ScriptEd, listed below. Very useful tool.
Pros: Great tool, efficient, easily access scripts.
Cons: The banks cannot be listed with their names, which can get confusing.

Evolution Editor
-- With this tool, you can edit what Pokemon a Pokemon evolves into.
Pros: Useful when implementing Fakemon, or Pokemon from a later generation into a ROM.
Cons: If used badly, can make your hack look like total crap.

-- There are many Hexadecimal programs out there, the best one being Hex Workshop. You have to pay for Hex Workshop, though. Next one is Thingy.
Pros: Hexadecimal is a very key thing in ROMHacking, these tools help you a lot.
Cons: If you don't know anything about bytes, this isn't for you.

-- This tool edits a Pokemon's Icon. The Icons are visible in your Pokemon Party, and PC.
Pros: Good when implementing Fakemon, or Pokemon from a later generation into a ROM.
Cons: You need a good spriter to make it look legit.

-- A useful tool made by Mewthree, it lets you edit the Pokemon that comes out of Prof. Oak's Pokeball when just starting your Pokemon Game.
Pros: Good for originality.
Cons: Doesn't edit the Pokemon's cry that is made when it comes out of the Pokeball.
