-- This tool is the best Map Editing tool, I find. It is very easy to use and comprehend.
Pros: Great design, lets you edit a number of things besides maps.
Cons: Cannot direct you to any other thing like scripts.

Attack Editor

Pros: Very useful if you're trying to avoid the complications of scripting.

EliteMap
-- With this tool, you can edit the maps a player plays on. You can also access a sprite's script, but to do so you need ScriptEd, listed below. Very useful tool.
Pros: Great tool, efficient, easily access scripts.
Cons: The banks cannot be listed with their names, which can get confusing.

-- With this tool, you can edit what Pokemon a Pokemon evolves into.
Pros: Useful when implementing Fakemon, or Pokemon from a later generation into a ROM.

Pros: Hexadecimal is a very key thing in ROMHacking, these tools help you a lot.
